 Overall Winner –The Best Abu Dhabi Government Entity
To the entity that demonstrates that highest practice of excellence within Abu Dhabi commensurate with world class performance and is leading the Abu Dhabi drive for excellence and is a role model within the government service.

 
Entity Prizes

Best Initiator Entity
To the best performing entity that has not previously participated in the ADAEP Category 1 or scored 200 and in the in the ADAEP Category 1 previous cycle 

Best Implementer Entity
Entities that scored 201 – 400 points during the previous ADAEP cycle will be awarded for consolidation the benefits of working with excellence and putting strategies into place for optimisation and further progression of excellence. 

Best Impactor Entity
Entities that scored 401 – 550 points during the previous ADAEP cycle will be awarded for best created consistent standards of performance in all aspects and which is obtaining gains and benefits in all key areas of excellence. 

Best Integrator Entity
Entities that scored 551 – 650 points during the previous ADAEP cycle, will be awarded for making the greatest strides forward in closing performance gaps through a closed loop cycle of learning and innovation. 

Entity Awards
This suite of awards is to recognise those entities that have demonstrated strengths and achievement in specific facets of excellence. 

Best Entity with Customer Service
To the entity demonstrating the highest sustained or improved levels of customer service as an outcome of strategic approach.
(Performance in Excellence Model criteria ‘Processes, Products & Services’ and ‘Customer Results) 

Best Entity with People Development
To the entity demonstrating the highest sustained or improved level of People Satisfaction as an outcome of strategic approach.
(Performance in the Excellence Model criteria ‘People’ and ‘People Results’) 

Best Entity with Institutional Capacity
To the entity demonstrating optimum efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources through strategic resource planning and management.
(Performance in the Excellence model Criteria ‘Resources’, ‘Society Results’ and ‘Key Results’) 

Best Entity with Excellent Leadership
To the entity demonstrating the highest level of leadership competence and capability resulting in superior entity performance.

 Submission Module For Category 1 – EFQM


The Excellence Model translates the Concepts of Excellence into criteria by which the level, degree and depth organisational practices of excellence can be assessed. It is against this model that the ADAEP Award assessments will be undertaken. Addendum to this document is very critical –All Submissions to the ADAEP Cycle 3 Category 1 Awards are to be based on the contents of and in conformance with the contents of Addendum. 
 

Submission Details

·    75 A4 pages

·    Introduction: Should not exceed 3 pages

·    Using this principle a suggested plan would be


Participation in the Category 1 Awards


Participation in the Category 1 ADAEP Awards is accessed though a written Submission Document with the following specifications:

·    1 bound paper copy of the Submission Document together with one electronic copy must be returned to the Award Office as per the date set by the Abu Dhabi Award Office

·    The Submission Document must be no more than 75 s of A4 in length written in 14 Simplified Arabic.

·    All criteria of the Abu Dhabi Awards for Excellence in Government must be addressed in the Submission Document

Abu Dhabi government entities are eligible to participate in the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award if they satisfy a set of 4 selection criteria:

·    To be an entity part of Abu Dhabi government

·     Is an executive Department or a Public Agency or similar 

·     Is an entity that provides public service and is not for profit

·     Has physical presence at the time the Award Participant list is prepared

 Note: Government agencies that can participate in an optional send an official letter to request to participate so

All Abu Dhabi owned SOEs are eligible to participate in the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award if they satisfy a set of 5 selection criteria:

·     To be an entity part of Abu Dhabi government

·     Is an SOE at holding company level

·     Is 100% government owned

·     Has physical presence at the time the Award Participant list is prepared

·     Is an entity that ensures provision of public service to general public

Note: public institutions, to which it applies the first four conditions can participate in optional and must send a formal letter of confirmation or rejection

The Feedback System

The Feedback Report is a critical document in the ADAEP providing a summary of the findings of the assessment giving entities balanced, value adding comments from the assessors to position their current level of excellence and achievement within the framework of the ADAEP. Most importantly it provides input to drive and encourage further endeavours towards excellence through reflection, review and action in addressing the identified strengths and areas for improvement. It assists the Jury in determining in an objective and reasoned fashion the Award winner.
